MARINE RESOURCES FOR YOUTH

So You Want to be a Marine Scientist is designed to ensure that no young Australian misses out on marine science or STEM knowledge simply because of where they live. Our resource aims to provide free, accessible, self-directed learning for students aged 14+ in communities where science education is limited. By connecting young people with diverse marine scientists and pathways and incorporating Indigenous Knowledge, we hope to build scientific curiosity, environmental stewardship, and confidence to pursue STEM, laying the foundations for the next generation of ocean scientists and advocates.
